ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

Electrical stimulation often referred to as “muscle stimulation” uses an electrical current to cause muscles to contract.

Whenever you have back, neck or other nerve pain, an electrical impulses can be sent from a damaged nerve to your brain. These signals interrupt or block the pain signals, reducing your pain.

By laying electrodes on the skin, our specialists are able to recruit the most suitable muscle fibers.

Contracting the muscle via electrical stimulation is beneficial to our patients as it strengthens the affects of our muscle and is frequently used to care for acute or constant pain and strains or sprains of the muscles, joints and soft tissues of the spine.
